It would be fun to bring Advertising Age into the conversation but why be truthful? How do vouchers work? Well first of all they make some of us ask that question. If the Federal government is going to administer a voucher program (enter parochial school scare tactics and evil demons), than the agency would be the Vouchers for the Poor Agency. I dunno. Why would u call it Medicare if u don't care what they do with the money. So there must be an equivalent tax and the vouchers are what? Guaranteed to keep up with the costs of health care? Why hasn't someone questioned where the funds are to come from and how they will better meet rising costs (unlike taxes which never go up) than the current system which faces a demographics problem. No one mentions that people live longer and are healthier which itself leads to the problem other than to say fewer sums of monies are being poured into the system by a declining birth rate and a stubborn unemployment rate which is mandated to stay the same by innuendo.

So I get a hundred bucks in the bank from the Voucher Bureau and I go shopping for insurance. Wow are they going to be surprised when I expect to find good coverage. And we all know how the oil companies compete. Underneath it all the Republicans have given up on helping the country and are taking strides to protect themselves. That makes sense for most individuals, charity begins at home. Not for a civilized country.

We demand and have earned an intelligent conversation with reasonable expectations. We get BBDO. Oh Jerry Delafemina would make us laugh. All the way to his bank.
